I DID IT!!!! (56k punks, go get a beer)

 i finally fucking did it!!! i may not be able to complete the simple task of reactivating and flooding a nuclear reactor core so i can transport myself of this planet, but goddammit if i can't kick a motherfuckers ass with a Nissan 240SX!!!!

i finally beat all of Need For Speed: Underground!!!! it was a pretty shitty ending too, but i don't care, i finally beat the whole game, and did almost all of it on the hardest difficulty setting, and almost all of it with the same car!!! i say almost because a) the Nissan 240SX isn't available when you first start the game, you have to unlock it after about 35 or so races, so i started off with a Mazda Miata MX-5... i know not the best choice out there, but it beats the hell out of a honda civic, a dodge neon, a puegot 206, or a VW golf gti... and b) drift races are damn near impossible to beat on the hardest skill level... it seems like the opposition is simply multiplying the "cool-factor" of their cars, by your final score, and kicking the crap out of you by almost 100,000 points... however, i did manage to beat ALL of the drift races on medium, with scores ranging from 90-150,000 per race... my stats at the end were even mildly impressive:

Style points are points awarded for performing certain tricks or manuevers while racing... these include things like drafting (following closely to a car in front of you, and gaining momnetum from the airflow over their car), powersliding, nearly missing oncoming traffic, hangtime (the longer you're in the air, the more points you recieve), etc.... the points are totaled at the end of the race, and then multiplied by your cars visual rating, which can be increased by adding visual mods to your car, like body kits, neons, spoilers, and the like... when i finally beat the game, i had a level 5 rated car, which is the highest rating, but i had a minimum of visual upgrades... just a really nice Wide Body Kit that i won in a previous race :) here for your veiwing pleasure is my award winning Nissan 240SX:

So there you have it, my modest looking street machine... btw, in case you're wondering, she'll do a one-mile drag in under 23 seconds, and can hit 212MPH without blowing the engine... it's extremely tricked out under the hood, all the top performance mods in there, so it may look pretty weak, but it just fucking moves down the track :)

as i said, the end of the game kinda sucked, because throughout the entire game, you're taunted by "Eddie" and his posse of street racers, and you think at the end of the game, there's gonna be this huge showdown, involving several races, and that eddie's car is gonna be so tricked out, there's no way you'll be able to beat him... but no... one race... a head to head sprint, at that.... in all the different styles of racing on this game, i never lost a single sprint race.... not ONE... and i'll admit, Eddie's car was a nissan Skyline GTR, and at first, the fucker had me, but around one turn, he got to close to me, we traded paint a bit, and i pushed back, harder... and i threw his ass into a fucking wall, where he remained for about 10 seconds, which was more than enough time for me to get a mile away from him :) i whooped his ass, on the 111th/111 races... and then, i got challenged to another race... that's right, the game consists of 112 races, but only tells you there is 111.... weird...

i've gone on for way too long about this, but i'm sure some of you read it anyways... well, now all i have left is to beat NFS:U2....
